our why

Because even patched hearts can grow strong again.

Patched Hearts Place’s mission is to provide compassionate, trauma-informed support that helps children, teens and adults rediscover their strength and confidence. We walk alongside clients through life’s most difficult valleys while offering a safe space to heal, grow and rise with renewed hope.

Meet Skye

Hi, there! I’m Skye. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience supporting children, teens and adults as they navigate grief, trauma, anxiety and life’s many transitions. I work with individuals ages 8 and up, and I have a particular passion for helping people carry and heal from invisible emotional wounds.

My background includes working in school settings and alongside survivors of domestic violence, which has deeply shaped my trauma-informed, compassionate approach to therapy. At the heart of my work is people - especially families. Parenting is hard. Being a kid is hard. Often, both are struggling at the same time. I see therapy as a space to help bridge that gap so families can better understand one another and grow together.

I believe in looking at the whole person. Our experiences, relationships, and environments matter and they play a powerful role in shaping who we are. In our work together, I’ll walk alongside you with compassion, helping you recognize your strengths, break unhelpful patterns and find practical tools that fit your real life. I view my clients as active participants in their own growth and I value collaboration, honesty, and trust in the therapeutic relationship.

Whether you’re a child or teen coping with loss or emotional stress, an adult who appears “high functioning” but feels exhausted on the inside or a parent seeking support for yourself, you don’t have to walk through the valley alone. Therapy can be a steady, supportive space to breathe, reflect and begin to heal.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m most often with my family - my husband, our three kids, two dogs and whoever we’ve welcomed into our home that day. Weekends usually involve sports, travel and quality time with friends and family. My faith is rooted in Christianity and we are active members of a local church.

If you’re looking for a therapist who offers warmth, understanding and a grounded, trauma-informed approach, I’d love to connect. Reach out today to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
